Well I took my girls to Alexandria, LA where 37 standard poodles were entered! I was only really worried about 2 though - Peaches and Josey. Peaches is a lovely blue bitch owned by a groomer/handler friend of mine in Baton Rouge, LA. She finished her championship this past weekend and it was a well-deserved win! Once Peaches was out of the way with her championship, little Josey took the ring by storm. Josey is a very beautiful white bitch out of "Patsy," Ch. Donnchada Sweet Dreams. Patsy is a multiple best in show winning bitch and was on the cover of Poodle Variety last issue. She is a fabulous girl and since Betty had her eyes on the prize, there really was only a sliver of a chance for me to pick up the points. I go where Betty & co are to learn the ropes of showing but it's a double edge sword, as they are my competition in these instances and all of the handlers know Betty means business! I'll enter my girls again in Hattiesburg, MS end of Feb. & then send Margot off with Betty as Margot is starting to become competitive. We had a lot of fun showing and learning but when it comes to winning, I know I will need to send her to a professional. Comet and I will continue to have fun in the ring as long as I can maintain her hair and now it's Giselle's turn to learn the ropes!
