Camille won her 1st Major in Biloxi, MS

I entered my puppy Camille in Biloxi, MS, in September 2013, and she won her first 4 point major, taking Best of Opposite Sex to Best of Breed under Gerard Penta! She was shown by handler Kadie Bonds, but I had to take her back in the ring since Kadie had another dog she needed to take in and although Ms. Camille was super excited, she showed very well for me and we won! She is now in the continental pattern.

At age 12 months, poodles can no longer be shown in the puppy trim (pictured). Once they reach 12 mos, they have to either be shown in the traditional continental (conti for short) or the English saddle, or the HCC (historically correct continental). It's best to sit them out for several months to grow the long neck hair needed to create the beautiful outline needed to be striking in the show ring. I feel very fortunate to have handlers like Kadie Bonds & Betty Brown to work with me, even on dogs they did not breed. Camille's registered name is Olympia La Dame aux Camelias, and she was bred by Lucy Tyler. This precious white girl was offered to me unexpectedly, and I have completely fallen in love with her charm. It is not easy for a puppy, only having a little bit of practice and no formal training with a pro handler, to be shown by its owner (who spoils her) and to win a big win like Camille did, going BOS over finished champions! All of the credit for the presentation and grooming must be given to Kadie Bonds. I really can't take the credit for her win, so I cropped myself out of the photo,  but it was fun to show her!
Isn't she just gorgeous?
While in Biloxi, I also did yearly CERF eye testing on Camille, Cali, Armani, & Jacki (that was a fun trip!)
