Looking forward to Gulport, MS show this weekend

Tomorrow I get to see my boy Armani show for the first time in 6 weeks. It feels like he has been gone for longer, but in his absence he has been a very productive puppy, nearly finishing his championship in this short span of time! I just can't wait to see him again. Pictures to follow!

Hi Maria, Has been awhile and we're so sad to her about your Giselle...truly! Sometimes life just is not fair! You are so brave and kind to share this information, pedigree and all. It's a big help to learn symptoms and one day we will have a test for AD. Is crazy how many times my 8 y.o. Oliver has been tested for it--without a marker for detection/genetic testing, always a concern (though less so for an older poodle). Thinking of you and will be checking in. Happy Holidays to you all!

Kari, thanks for your encouragement. I'm sorry, but I have not been to my site in awhile to update and just noticed you had commented! Yes what has happened with both of my beautiful girls has been devastating but an eye opener for sure. We have to be really careful as breeders and pet owners since we do not know when it will strike, if ever. Giselle is doing very well. You would not even know there was anything wrong with her. She will be spayed at the end of the month once she is cleared for surgery. Thanks for checking in and good luck with Oliver, although I think by 8 you might be out of the woods. I believe the UC Davis Study welcomes DNA samples from standards over 7 years of age who are unaffected. You might consider participating in the study with Oliver. Best wishes!
