Cadeau Updates!

I'm happy to report that Giselle is fully recovered from her spay and prophylactic gastropexy. This is ensure that once she is placed in her new home she will not be bred and her chances to bloat will be significantly decreased. Giselle will be going to her new home in the next couple of weeks. We have had several wonderful inquiries regarding her placement. Time will tell how well she fits into her new home, but we have a lot of faith in her adaptability.
Here, she shares a joke with a fellow poodle.
What is so funny, Giselle??

Placing some of our favorite poodles is never easy, but we must "prune" the pack in order to make room for new growth. Cadeau has had 2 recent additions who are showing a lot of promise at this time : Jacki & Cali.
Jacki, or By Request Donnchada Jacqueline, is a 15 month old black standard poodle with an impressive pedigree. She is out of a beautiful champion girl named Danielle and sired by the famous Ch. Aleph American Idol (Simon). You may remember Simon from our friend's Simon x Peaches litter last year.  More than half of that gorgeous litter of puppies is in the show ring and doing well. More to come on Jacki in the future! We are excited about her because her mother is white, so she has a white gene. She also displays that sweet poodle nature and we just love all of her power in her tiny package.  She is currently CERF normal and OFA preliminary good.

And finally, our little Cali, co -owned with Tabatha Waters of NOLA Standards in New Orleans, who came to us from Debra Ferguson Jones of Lakeridge in Washington state. Cali is full of attitude and intelligence. She is a tail up, head up, curious, fearless, baby boss! I have enjoyed having her with me over the past couple of months and watching her grow and blossom. Cali was born 10-1-11, so she still has lots of growing up to do. We hope for her debut AKC show to be in the Amateur Owner Handler class at the Poodle Club of America National Specialty in April, 2012, handled by Tabatha Waters, who has had an exciting year with her NOLA standards of "color!"
