Thanks to Everyone Who Helped to Make our Grooming Seminar a Success!

We had a very nice turnout on Sunday, June 30th! I really appreciate the Creole Poodle Club members pulling together to help me get this informative and fun seminar off the ground! I took a few photos and I know I'm not the only one who did, so I'll be looking around for some more!
We had an awesome time - Starting at 10Am, AKC Poodle judge and President of the Creole Poodle Club, Jordan Chamberlain began to teach attentive participants about the continental show trim. He used our very own Jacki as a demo dog, and I was thrilled with her calm and easy manner on the table.
The evening session brought an equally charming crowd as Jordan demonstrated the pet trim on our beloved Cali. Cali was a proper princess, winning the hearts of the spectators with her personality plus. When she was done, Jordan let her off the table and everyone started clapping, with Cali bouncing through the crowd, head and tail up! She seemed to know the applause was for her.

Our fabulous hostess, Nancy Laurent of Fleur de Paws in New Orleans and fellow club member, graciously provided her grooming shop for a space. Additionally, her talented husband provided lunch for us in the form of homemade red beans and rice! Other members brought goodies and we raffled off a door prize and showcased some of our raffle items for the upcoming AKC conformation poodle spcialty show (mark your calendar- Friday, August 2nd!)

All in all, it was a fun event, and I look forward to helping the Creole Poodle Club rganize more events like this. We raised some much needed funds for the club and the Creole Poodle Rescue!
