Liam - GCH Brighton Undeniable on Fifth

Cali-Ch Lakeridge le Cadeau du Muse a NOL

I first met this beautiful dog and his owner in Gulfport, MS. There's a funny story behind that which we all still giggle about. She was a new owner handler, and Liam was a bouncy young dog. The team went on to mop the floor with the competition and have been doing so ever since. I watched this beautiful young dog and his owner handler blossom into a very formidable team. Tammy is the kind of show home that breeders dream about. Not only is she a talented groomer and a loving owner, but she is also a serious competitor who enjoys the sport and is not afraid to get out there and show her dog! I am proud to call her a friend.

When Cali's co-owner, Tabatha of NOLA Standards and I started discussing stud dogs for Cali's next litter, I was honestly shocked when she brought up Liam. Tabatha is a red/apricot breeder who will occasionally use a black stud dog to bring type into the color. I have never heard mention of her wanting to use a white dog. for her program. In fact, white is generally one of the colors she considers a "No No." Now, I love Liam. I adore his owner and handlers, and he is a fabulous ambassador for the standard poodle as a breed. He is the very image of the renowned Brighton type and movement.

For what it's worth, (some old time breeders will say it's going to be a great breeding when the girl really likes the boy!) Cali adored Liam.
The puppies are here now, and I'm really excited to see what the future holds for them - hopefully fabulous show/performance homes like Tammy as well as wonderful pet homes for those who aren't interested in conformation. I predict coats to die for and bright, sparkling personalities to match!
